Tips on Protecting Your Smile this Holiday Season

Indulging in decadent desserts during the holiday season is a must, but your smile does not need to be compromised. Here are a couple precautionary measures to keep in mind during this holiday season:

  • Sweet and Simple: We strongly recommend single desserts followed by brushing to save your new shiny smile. smart Snacking is also important. Crunchy, sticky hard snacks will always risk cracks, chips and even breaks in your teeth. We strongly advise against possibly harmful foods with temporary restorations.   • Responsible Routines: While your travel plans might not follow a structured routine, your oral health could. We strongly recommend brushing your teeth at least twice a day (ideally we recommend brushing after every meal). We also strongly recommend flossing regularly after every meal.

  • Just in Case: We strongly recommended all patients attend their appointments and check-ups regularly to know where their oral health stands and what to look out for. If you have not visited the office in the the last three to six months, please schedule an appointment before the year ends! If an emergency does occur we have an emergency number you can always contact. We will provide instructions on how to address your specific situation and the best course of treatment. Dr. Alex will meet with you as soon as possible to alleviate your pain and discomfort. We highly advise against delaying treatment because simple discomfort can quickly turn into permanent damage if not properly addressed.
