Crowns
If the form and function of your teeth are compromised, crowns restore the tooth to its natural state. The first thing we do is take impressions of your teeth to create a temporary crown. Then we shape your tooth to remove the damaged portion and create room for the crown. Once the temporary crown is ready, we place it on your tooth so we can make adjustments before placing your permanent crown. These adjustments ensure you feel 100% comfortable and confident with your crown. Our trusted labs craft your permanent restoration and apply the final adjustments to ensure the best fit.
Inlays And Onlays
If trauma to your teeth results in significant loss but the core structure of the tooth remains stable, inlays and onlays offer a solution. Our labs create matching porcelain pieces to replace the missing portion of the tooth. We bond these pieces to the tooth to restore its natural form and function. This approach reduces the amount of grinding required and helps protect the nerves in the tooth. We recommend inlays and onlays instead of traditional fillings because of their durability.
Bridges
Crowns are a solution to missing teeth by taking advantage of the surrounding teeth. By creating molds that are shaped to match the adjacent teeth we “suspend” the missing tooth in its spot by utilizing the surrounding teeth for support. This is the second best choice for most patients after implants.
Dentures
For patients missing multiple teeth partial dentures are a sensible solution. They are not as ideal as implants but they do offer our patients the opportunity to restore their smile.
Root Canal Therapy
If decay or fracture exposes the nerve of your tooth, removing the nerve can maintain the health of the tooth. Root canal therapy saves your tooth and allows us to repair the damage. To fully understand the procedure, we recommend watching the “Root Canal” video on our patient education page, along with the “Progression of Decay” and “Single Crown (impressions)” videos as supporting information.
Color Filings
Composite fillings provide an effective solution for cavities and restore the form and function of your tooth while closely matching the natural shade of your teeth. We begin by removing the damaged area of the tooth to prevent further decay. Once we fully prepare the area, we apply a bonding agent so the composite attaches to the tooth. We then layer the composite to restore the tooth to its natural shape.
